THE QUIET COSMOS (AKA Quiet Sensory Room)

Our friends can take a calming break in this quiet room with soft lighting and seating.

THE PLAY DECK (AKA Board Game Room)

This small room has a shelf with board games and card tables that can be used to play with technicians and peers! This is a great way to encourage friendship and interaction while having fun!

THE DATA TERMINAL (AKA Computer Skills Room)

Our custom-built computer desks have sturdy screens and hidden computers for maximum safety. Autistic adults can gain computer skills by updating their resume or applying for jobs. Teens and kids can practice typing skills. This room also has plenty of sensory buttons and switch on the desks. It truly looks like they're running a space mission from Houston!

THE CHROMOSPHERE (AKA Art Room)

Artists rejoice! This room has everything you could want to express yourself: crayons, markers, paint, and many other art projects available! Artwork can be displayed in the main hallway for everyone to enjoy!

THE REACTOR ROOM (AKA Messy Sensory Room)

An indoor sandbox that's filled with corn kernels? Yes please! Kids can get messy in here - but this is definitely their favorite spot to play and get sensory input from digging and rolling in the kernels. (Warning: parents may find kernels in pockets at home!)

COSMONAUT ANTI-GRAVITY COURSE (AKA Gross Motor Activity Area)

This large room has a giant ball pit (big enough for adults!) and a Jungle Jumparoo for all ages to enjoy. We also have a climbing wall and other gross motor activities for sensory-seekers to get their wiggles out in a safe space.

REFUELING STATION (AKA Kitchenette)

Containing a fridge and microwave, you can send your child to ABA with any of their favorite foods to be kept safe here until lunchtime.

ENGINEERING BAY  (AKA Lego Room)

This room focuses on fine motor skills by building with Lego bricks and completing puzzles. Also a great place to sort Legos by color!

THE LUNAR LIBRARY (AKA Reading Room)

This room is calming and filled with books of all kinds for any level of reader. Soft chairs provide comfy seating and a cozy, quiet atmosphere for bookworms.

THE PULSAR ROOM (AKA Music Room)

This room is filled with musical instruments for maximum fun! We have a keyboard, guitars, and more. Combining music therapy with ABA - what could be better?

ASTRONAUT MISSION TRAINING (AKA Toleration Room)

Many people with autism struggle with getting haircuts, going to the dentist, and going to the doctor. If this is one of your child's goals, we can use this room to help them slowly get used to a similar environment as any of those places, helping to eliminate anxiety. We can slowly help them get used to the feeling of hair clippers on their head, the feeling of the barber's cape around their neck, or the bright lights at the dentist, or sitting on the scary exam table at the doctor.

THE SIMULATOR (AKA Video Game Room)

Gamers rejoice! We have a gaming setup for teens and adults with autism! We will carefully curate their behavior plans to incorporate earning gaming time into their reward system (depending on the person!). We also have a VR headset to have fun but also build skills.

STARPORT LOUNGE (AKA Hangout Room)

A central hangout spot with couches, seating, and a TV. This multi-purpose room can be used to play games, work on goals, and interact with friends.

Benefits of ABA Services at Nova's Clinic

"We already have adult autism services. What makes our ABA clinic different from a regular day program?"

Many day programs have 4 or 5 clients to one supervising staff member. It can be difficult to keep track of everyone, especially for those with autism who have a tendency to elope (run away).

With our clinic implementing ABA therapy, we can staff RBTs to give better, one-on-one care.

We want to help build up their essential life skills! Some of these skills may include:

  • Building up confidence in communication through activities such as board games and crafts.

  • Role-playing real-life situations, such as doctor visits or haircuts, to help them tolerate real visits.

  • Job-related skills practice, such as working a cash register.

  • Assistance with alternative communication devices.

  • Practicing safety skills during community walks.

  • Following toileting schedules to increase independence.

  • Practicing reading skills at their own level.
