Behavior Consultation Services
At Nova Supports, we are proud to offer specialized Behavior Consultation services as a contracted provider with the Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD) in Utah. Our services are designed to support individuals with disabilities by developing customized behavior plans that improve quality of life.
NOVA's Behavior Services
We provide three levels of Behavior Consultation (BC1, BC2, and BC3)
to clients receiving DSPD funding. These services include:

ASSESSMENT
Our qualified behavior analysts conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the specific needs and challenges faced by each client.

BEHAVIOR PLAN DEVELOPMENT
Based on the assessment, we develop a personalized behavior plan that outlines strategies and interventions tailored to the client’s needs.

CAREGIVER TRAINING
We provide training for staff, caregivers, and family members, equipping them with the tools and knowledge necessary to implement the behavior plan effectively.
Our Behavior Consultation services are available to clients who are receiving funding from DSPD. If you are eligible for DSPD services and have been approved for behavior consultation, you can choose Nova Supports as your provider.

How to Get DSPD Services in Utah
To get DSPD services in Utah, you’ll first need to apply through the Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD). Eligibility is based on a documented disability such as autism, intellectual disability, or brain injury. After applying, if you're found eligible, you'll be placed on a waiting list—since funding is limited, services are prioritized based on individual needs. The waitlist is usually 10 years long (yes, YEARS, unfortunately), so we recommend getting your child signed up on the waitlist as soon as possible.

Once funding becomes available, a support coordinator will help you create a Person-Centered Support Plan. From there, you can choose a provider like Nova Supports to begin receiving services such as behavior support, day programs, supported living, and more.
