FAQs

What is ABA therapy and how can it help my child?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. ABA therapy helps to improve social, communication, and learning skills through positive reinforcement. It is particularly effective for children with autism as it helps to enhance essential skills and reduce behaviors that may interfere with learning and development.

Are your services covered by insurance?

Currently, we offer our services as an out-of-network provider. We assist with the insurance claims process by providing necessary documentation for you to submit for reimbursement. We are also in the process of becoming
credentialed with Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Select Health to provide in-network options in the future.

What age groups do you work with?

We specialize in early intervention and typically work with children from infancy through adolescence. Our services are tailored to meet the developmental needs of each age group, ensuring that each child receives the most appropriate and effective therapy.

How are parents involved in the therapy process?

Parent involvement is crucial to the success of ABA therapy. We encourage parents to be
active participants in the therapy sessions when appropriate and
provide training so that techniques can be consistently applied at
home. This collaboration helps reinforce learning and ensures more
comprehensive progress.

Do parents need to be present during the sessions?

We require an adult caregiver to be in the home during all sessions. This caregiver doesn’t need to be an active participant during the sessions, just present in the home.

How often will my child receive therapy?

The frequency of therapy sessions depends on your child’s individual needs and the specifics of their personalized therapy plan. This can vary from a few hours each week to several hours per day, depending on what is deemed most
beneficial for your child's development.

Who will be working with my child?

Your child will be matched with one or more of our qualified Registered Behavior Technicians® (RBTs) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA). Our team members are highly trained and experienced in delivering ABA therapy.

What is your approach to handling challenging behavior?

We use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage desirable behaviors and reduce challenging ones. Our approach is always tailored to the individual child, focusing on understanding the reasons behind behaviors and addressing them in a compassionate and effective manner.

Can I observe ABA therapy sessions?

Yes, we encourage parents to observe sessions as it can be a valuable learning experience. Observing sessions helps you understand our techniques and how they can be applied outside of therapy time.

How do you measure progress?

Progress is continuously monitored and measured against the initial goals set in your child’s therapy plan. Regular assessments and data collection help us track improvements and make necessary adjustments to the therapy.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept most medical insurances. We will work with your insurance for you and inform you of what you can expect to pay for ABA. If you have concerns with affording your portion, we can provide options for payment plans.
