Did you know?

The Leading Cause of Death for Autistic Kids is Drowning

Children with autism are 160 times more likely to drown than their neurotypical peers.

When we heard these shocking statistics about the risks of drowning, we knew we had to do something about it. We acquired this building with a pool and knew it would be a perfect autism clinic space.

We are excited to be able to provide water safety as a part of our ABA services to kids and adults with autism.

We're Taking ABA Therapy to New Heights!

Our swim instructors are certified to work with kids and adults with disabilities.
We offer all our ABA clients the opportunity to learn water safety skills as a part of their therapy.
We also have adaptive swim classes open to anyone!

Benefits of Receiving ABA therapy at our Nova Supports Clinic

Add a general description of the items listed below. You can introduce the list and include any relevant information you want to share. Double click to edit the text.

Consistent, Daily Support

Our clinic is open most weekdays, with the exception of major holidays. Saturdays may also be available upon request.

Skill development

Our ABA therapy varies depending on each person's needs and age. We help our adult clients build the essential life skills they need with help from their RBT, such as tolerating haircuts or brushing teeth. Kids may learn how to communicate or use the toilet.

Data-Driven Treatment

Research shows that more consistent ABA is the most beneficial in the long run for retaining skills. Frequent observation allows for faster adjustments to goals and interventions.

More Hours

Our clinic can provide a higher number of quality therapeutic hours than families can realistically implement at home.

Adults: Independent Skills

Adults can gain meaningful skills to gain confidence and independence. Cooking, budgeting, hygiene, medication management, housekeeping, and daily routines are all possible goals to work on in ABA therapy.

Peer Interaction

A clinic setting is great for those who need to build interpersonal skills and confidence in making friends.

We've seen lasting friendships be made at ABA!

Natural Opportunities for Generalization

Generalization means being able to use skills in multiple scenarios and places. Clients have the opportunity to practice skills across different rooms, activities, staff members, and peers at the clinic - instead of only in one environment.

More Learning Opportunities

Transitions, group activities, meals, recreation, community outings, and unexpected situations all become teaching opportunities. With so many rooms to choose from in this clinic, they won't be bored!

TEENS: Preparing for Adulthood

Young adults can practice workplace behaviors, community participation, communication, and executive functioning skills. Computers are available to practice tech skills or write a resume.

One-On-One Support

Each client has their own RBT working with them one-on-one for the entire ABA therapy session.

Close Access to BCBA

The client's BCBA will be on-site at the clinic, making them immediately accessible when training or intervention is needed, for better care.

Caregiver Respite

Families receive predictable periods where they can work, rest, attend appointments, or focus on other family members.

Adults: Workplace Readiness

Adults with autism who wish to apply for work can receive support. Workplace communication, task completion, time management, professionalism, and problem-solving are all skills they can work on.

What makes our clinic different from a regular day program?

Many day programs have 4 or 5 clients to one supervising staff member. It can be difficult to keep track of everyone, especially for those with autism who have a tendency to elope (run away).

With our clinic implementing ABA therapy, we can staff RBTs to give better, one-on-one care.

We want to help build up their essential life skills! Some of these skills may include:

  • Building up confidence in communication through activities such as board games and crafts.

  • Role-playing real-life situations, such as doctor visits or haircuts, to help them tolerate real visits.

  • Job-related skills practice, such as working a cash register.

  • Assistance with alternative communication devices.

  • Practicing safety skills during community walks.

  • Following toileting schedules to increase independence.

  • Practicing reading skills at their own level.
